FHI in Asia and the Pacific Family Health International's Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) helps community-based and nongovernmental organizations improve HIV prevention, care, and treatment services and works closely with people who are considered most at risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Among these are male, female, and transgender sex workers and their clients; men who have sex with men; and injecting drug users. FHI supports projects that improve the diagnosis and treatment of TB and malaria. FHI also conducts health research, including trials intended to reduce the burden of severe human and avian influenza, adult and pediatric malaria, and diarrhea-related illness among children. |

Scaling Up the Continuum of Care in the Asia-Pacific Region NOVEMBER 2007 — The continuum of care (CoC) is a strategy developed in the Asia-Pacific region to organize and provide care, treatment, and support services. Scaling Up the Continuum of Care for People Living with HIV: A Toolkit for Implementers will help planners and managers to create networks that link HIV care, treatment, and support services in ways that respond to unique needs.

OCTOBER 2009 — FHI's Asia Pacific Regional Office collaborated with UNICEF and the World Health Organization to develop this HIV counseling resource package. The materials support those working with most-at-risk populations such as men who have sex with men; transgender, male, and female sex workers; and injecting drug users.
AUGUST 2008 — Through the Analysis and Advocacy (A2) Project, FHI/Vietnam and the Health Policy Initiative have assessed the current epidemic and in this report suggest new strategies for controlling the further spread of HIV in Ho Chi Minh City and beyond. 
JULY 2008 — While cervical cancer is the second most common cancer worldwide and the most common among women in developing countries, it is among the most preventable and treatable of all cancers. This report documents the proceedings of an FHI-hosted regional workshop highlighting the role of health outcomes research data and modeling for future decisionmaking.
