FHI in Asia and the Pacific

Family Health International's Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) helps community-based and nongovernmental organizations improve HIV prevention, care, and treatment services and works closely with people who are considered most at risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Among these are male, female, and transgender sex workers and their clients; men who have sex with men; and injecting drug users.

FHI supports projects that improve the diagnosis and treatment of TB and malaria. FHI also conducts health research, including trials intended to reduce the burden of severe human and avian influenza, adult and pediatric malaria, and diarrhea-related illness among children.
