Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Funds Biological Behavioral Surveillance Survey
Through the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention, FHI is working with the University of Kinshasa's School of Public Health to conduct a biological behavioral surveillance survey (BBSS).
The survey will target the following groups:
- truck drivers
- miners
- uniformed persons
- sex workers
- youth
The BBSS will provide useful information about HIV prevalence rates that will help FHI and other organizations tailor activities to reduce the spread of the HIV/AIDS in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
