FHI/Guinea Opens First VCT Center in Guinea
FEBRUARY 2005 — Jean Paul II Hospital opened the first voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) center supported by USAID here in a ceremony on Feb. 1. Located in the capital, Conakry, this hospital will receive technical and financial assistance from USAID and FHI's IMPACT Project to provide counseling and testing services to the surrounding community and serve as a model for future VCT centers.

FHI/Guinea Launches Development of National Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) Guidelines
FEBRUARY 2005 — FHI/Guinea, in collaboration with the Guinean Ministry of Public Health (MOH) and USAID, took the first step to establish national policies, norms and procedures (PNP) for VCT services by organizing a two-day VCT stakeholders' workshop.
