SEPTEMBER 2005 � Ruth Abwao Bandi, a Kenyan nurse and widow whose husband died of an AIDS-related illness, knows the effects of HIV-related stigma. With help from the IMPACT-supported Society of Women Against AIDS/Kenya, Bandi campaigns for post-test HIV counseling and community-based programs to end stigma.
