The Philippines

From October 1997 to June 2007, FHI implemented the USAID-funded Implementing AIDS Prevention and Care (IMPACT) Project in the Philippines. The project was a staunch partner of the National AIDS/STI Prevention and Control Program–Department of Health. Project activities resulted in revisions to national STI guidelines; the production of reliable data for decisionmaking and sustained, evidence-based interventions; reductions in STI prevalence; and an improved health delivery system.
