Reproductive health programs in developing countries face formidable challenges in providing quality care with limited resources, making it essential for managers to evaluate how they can use resources in more productive ways. To make programs sustainable, managers must also become increasingly innovative in exploring new ways to operate their programs and generate revenue. Through its research and interventions, FHI health economists help programs fill the gap between client needs and program resources and explore ways to improve both the productivity of programs and the quality of care.
